Coating the link plates with Sil-Tec coating has given it greater durability, and quieter and smoother operation in all conditions. System-designed drive train component for optimum transmission: inner plate coated with SHIMANO‘s new technology, “SIL-TEC” friction-reducing agent (inner plate).
SIL-TEC – is an advanced chain surface coating process that, through the use of fluorine particles, helps improve performance. SIL-TEC coated products run smoother and are more resistant to all driving conditions.
