November 7–14, 2026PEGO EVERESTING CHALLENGE 2026
Join the next Everesting challenge on the legendary Vall d’Ebo climb.
About the Event
The Pego Everesting Challenge 2026 is a test for those who want to push their limits and experience what cycling endurance truly means.
This is a week-long trip to our Polish cycling base Pego.CC on Costa Blanca. The trip program has been designed to give you time for both preparation and recovery. In the first few days, we will get acquainted with the route, take care of equipment and strategy, and recharge our energy during a pasta party. Wednesday, November 11 is the day of the challenge, and in the second part of the week, we will focus on rest: massages, light activities, and celebrating success together.
Our arena will be the legendary climb Puerto de la Vall d’Ebo (CV-712). This is where each participant will attempt to repeat the same ascent 20 times.
This is not a race. Everyone rides at their own pace, and the organizers from Pego.CC provide full support: aid stations, service, live tracking, and an atmosphere that makes the impossible possible.
ATTENTION!
Early Bird only until the end of the year or for the first 5 spots, the participation fee is only 1400 PLN
What is Everesting?
Everesting is one of the world’s toughest cycling endurance challenges. The rule is simple, though the execution is very demanding: you choose one climb and repeat it as many times as needed until the total elevation gain reaches 8,848 meters – the height of Mount Everest.
The entire challenge must be completed as one continuous activity – without sleep, without dividing the ride into stages. The descent is always on the same route, and every vertical meter counts towards the final result.
Upon completion, you can submit your result to the official Everesting Hall of Fame, where all who have taken on and completed the challenge are listed.
Basic Rules of Everesting:
One Climb, the Same Road up and down.
As many Repetitions as Needed to Exceed 8,848 M of Elevation Gain.
One Activity – No Sleep, with Full GPS Recording.
Ride Submission and Verification on Everesting.Com.
Full regulations: Everesting Ride Rules
Not just Full Everesting: Official Variants
Not sure if you can handle a full Everesting? No worries — you can still come back with an official badge. All you need to do is complete a Quarter (2,212 m) or a Basecamp (4,424 m) in one continuous activity. You can also do the ROAM version: 10,000 m in less than 36 hours and a minimum distance of 400 km, but without limiting yourself to one mountain.
Quarter (¼ Everest)
2,212 m of elevation gain
Range: ≥ 2,212 m and < 4,424 m in one activity, on the same climb and descent. The perfect first step — upon completion, you receive a Quarter badge in the Hall of Fame.
Basecamp (½ Everest)
4,424 m of elevation gain
Range: ≥ 4,424 m and < 8,848 m in one activity, on the same climb and descent. Official Basecamp badge — a great alternative if you fall a bit short of a full Everest.
Single (Full Everesting)
8,848 m of elevation gain
The classic challenge: one continuous GPS activity, the same climb and descent, no sleep and no e-bikes. After verification, you enter the Hall of Fame as a full Everester.
ROAM
10,000 m+ of elevation gain in ≤ 36 h and minimum 400 km
Expedition version: you can combine different climbs and sections (different rules than "Single"). Ideal for those who enjoy longer, exploratory routes with a time limit.
WHY EVERESTING WITH PEGO.CC?
About the Organizer
Behind the Pego Everesting Challenge is Pego.CC – a cycling base on Costa Blanca, run by enthusiasts with years of experience. For over 10 years, we’ve been creating the iFON team, and for 3 years we’ve also been operating in Spain, in the town of Pego, where our cycling base was established.
Both amateurs and World Tour professionals train here. In March 2025, we supported Damian Pazikowski (better known as Ultradietetyk) during his successful Everesting attempt on Vall d’Ebo – officially confirmed and entered into the Hall of Fame. Now it’s your turn to experience the same journey with us.
In November 2025, we inaugurated the Pego Everesting Challenge – the first group Everesting on Vall d’Ebo. Five brave participants stood at the start, and we provided full base support: buffets at the bottom and top, technical assistance, a masseur, live-tracking, and photo/video coverage. The event was a success, which is why we are returning in 2026 with another, even better edition.
As Part of the Trip, We Offer:

Pasta Party & Briefing

Dietitian Care
Not sure how to approach Everesting in terms of nutrition and tactics? What to eat before the start, during (on each loop), and how to sync it with your pace? Don’t have much experience in the mountains and wondering about clothing and safety on descents? Don’t worry — throughout the event, we’ll have Damian Pazikowski (Ultradietetyk), a sports and clinical dietitian, ultra-cyclist; winner of the Polish Cup in ultra-cycling marathons and European vice-champion in 24-hour cycling (2025). He completed an official Everesting on Vall d’Ebo (approved in the Hall of Fame). He will prepare a plan for you and will be on the route until the last participant.
As part of the trip, you receive:
- 1:1 interview and consultation — a brief analysis of your experience, health status, and preferences.
Carbohydrate loading protocol + start breakfast — individually tailored.
On-route nutrition plan — what and when to eat/drink (“per loop” and “per hour” variants).
Pace and clothing — practical tips tailored to the forecast and day conditions.
Test ride — safe familiarization with Vall d’Ebo: climb and key descent points.
On-route support — Damian rides with you and stays until the last participant.
Physiotherapist Care
Not sure how to prepare your body for long exertion in the mountains? What to do before the start and how to take care of muscles during? On-site, Ania Majewska will help you — a physiotherapist with 17 years of experience, working in amateur and professional sports, collaborating with Swiss Cycling and UCI Women’s Continental Team Nexetis, among others. For several years, she has also been involved in sports photography, so she will capture some powerful shots of your efforts. Ania lives and works in the Marina Alta region, so she will be available in zones and on the route when quick intervention is needed.
As part of the trip, you receive:
Pre-start briefing — warm-up/mobilization, overload prevention, thermals.
“On-route” rules — micro-breaks, quick relaxation techniques, position adjustments.
Support during the event — interventional relaxation, quick taping if needed.
Photo-backstage — a few professional shots from climbs and support zones.
In the days following the challenge, there will be an opportunity to schedule a massage/physiotherapy session with Ania at our base. This is an additional option, but highly recommended after such prolonged exertion.
ROUTE
The arena for our challenge will be the legendary climb Puerto de la Vall d’Ebo (CV-712) – one of Costa Blanca’s classics, chosen for years by both amateurs and professional World Tour teams. It’s a climb 7.8 km long with an average gradient of 6%, providing 446 m of elevation gain per ascent.
Vall d’Ebo is the perfect climb for Everesting – gentle turns, smooth asphalt, and almost no traffic. The ideal ratio of length to gradient makes it one of the best climbs for this challenge, as confirmed by Damian Pazikowski during his Everesting this year, during which he was supported by our team.
To conquer Mount Everest on a bike, participants will face this climb 20 times. The entire route has been prepared as an official Strava route, which you can view and analyze:

FAQ
1. Who can participate in the Pego Everesting Challenge?
The event is designed for experienced amateur cyclists. You don’t need to be a professional, but very good fitness and mountain riding skills are necessary. We recommend prior training with elevation gains above 4000 m in a day.
2. What if I don't complete the full 8848 m?
You can report your attempt as a Half Everesting (4424 m) or Quarter Everesting (2212 m). Regardless of the result – taking on the challenge counts, and each participant will receive a certificate of participation.
3. Do I have to wear a helmet all the time?
Yes, a helmet is mandatory throughout the entire challenge – both on climbs and descents.
4. What support is available on the route?
There will be buffets at the bottom and top of the climb with water, isotonic drinks, bananas, snacks, and a “special needs” option (e.g., pizza, hot meals). A massage therapist will also be present on the route to support riders during the effort.
5. What kind of bike do I need?
A road bike with a compact crankset and a cassette of at least 34×30 will work best. Lighter gearing will help conserve energy. Good brakes (for long descents) and wider tires (25-28 mm) for comfort are also recommended. Note: electric bikes (e-bikes) are not allowed.
6. What will the weather conditions be like in November?
Usually 15-20°C during the day, nights can be cool (around 10°C). We recommend bringing clothing for various conditions: windbreaker, arm warmers, leg warmers, lights for night climbs and descents.
7. How is my ride recorded?
The entire attempt must be recorded in a single GPS file (e.g., on a bike computer or watch) and uploaded to Strava. This is a condition for Everesting recognition.
8. Will the roads be closed to traffic?
No, the road remains open. Riding according to traffic rules, keeping to the right side, and exercising extra caution is mandatory.
9. Will there be medical support?
Yes, a paramedic with first aid equipment will be present at all times. In case of a more serious incident, the nearest hospital is about 20 km from Pego.
10. How are the results published?
After the event, each participant can submit their result to the official Everesting Hall of Fame. The organizers will help with correctly submitting the activity.
11. Can I get help from friends?
Support is allowed only in designated areas. Help on the route outside of support points is prohibited.
