⛰️ Everesting defeated! 🔥
Everesting is an extreme attempt to climb the same ascent repeatedly until one has accumulated 8848 meters of elevation gain – which is exactly how much the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest, measures.
In March of this year, Damian Pazikowski, known as an ultra-cyclist, tackled this one of cycling’s toughest challenges. With the help of Robert Kalandyk and the Pego.CC cycling base, he successfully completed his Everesting attempt. He is an athlete of iron character, full of passion and commitment, and an expert in the field of nutrition. He consistently turns dreams into reality, achieving impressive goals through hard work and determination.
The site of the challenge was the climb to Puerto de La Vall d’Ebo. This route passes through scenic but challenging terrain, offering a moderate, regular gradient. The start of the climb is just after leaving the town of Pego. Its length is 7.8 kilometers, and the elevation is 450 meters with an average gradient of about 5.5%. This is a place for ambitious cyclists and ideal conditions for a real test of endurance.
Damian talks about the preparations and the course of the trial itself in an interview with Adam Probosz.
