The formula contains BCAAs, which are essential amino acids in the ratio of 8:1:1, as well as tyrosine, taurine and arginine. BCAAs are branched-chain amino acids, which have been characterized as a performance-enhancing supplement in several aspects, including as a reader that stimulates muscle protein synthesis (via leucine). BCAAs can also prevent muscle protein breakdown and reduce rates of exercise-induced muscle damage.

Description

BCAAs are branched-chain amino acids that have been characterized as a performance-enhancing supplement in several ways, including stimulating muscle protein synthesis (via leucine). BCAAs may also prevent muscle protein breakdown and reduce rates of exercise-induced muscle damage. There are also studies suggesting that BCAAs may act as a source of energy for muscles during exercise, however, research in this area is insufficient to conclusively confirm this. In addition, BCAAs may interfere with the transport of tryptophan to the brain, which reduces serotonin synthesis, thereby reducing feelings of fatigue.

USE OF BCAA SUPPLEMENTATION:

  • Stimulation of muscle protein synthesis. Based on current scientific reports, BCAAs, especially leucine, show the ability to stimulate muscle protein synthesis. A higher supply of leucine in the diet or through supplementation can support muscle recovery and muscle mass growth.
  • Muscle protection. BCAAs can counteract muscle protein breakdown (catabolism), especially during intense training or competition, which can help reduce muscle damage and speed up muscle recovery.
  • Energy support. It is hypothesized that BCAAs may provide an alternative energy source for working muscles during exercise, preventing muscle glycogen from being used up too quickly.
  • Fatigue Reduction. Literature data suggests that BCAAs may affect serotonin concentrations in the brain by competing in transport with tryptophan, which could theoretically reduce the sensation of fatigue during intense exercise.

However, despite promising reports, further research is needed to further understand the mechanisms of action and optimal BCAA supplementation protocols in the context of different sports and individual athletes’ needs.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS:
The recommended dosage of BCAA supplementation depends on the specific training, metabolic needs and individual characteristics of the athlete.
However, general guidelines for BCAA dosage are usually:
Pre-workout: The recommended dose is about 5-10 g of BCAAs before training.
Post workout: Immediately after training or within an hour after exercise, it is recommended to consume another serving of BCAAs (about 5-10 g)

BCAAs from 226ers have a supplement:

L-TYROSINE: This amino acid is essential for the natural formation of dopamine, which is needed for proper muscle function and contraction. It participates in energy production and is needed to maintain physical and mental activity.

L-ARGININE: This amino acid is a precursor to nitric oxide, which our bodies use as a vasodilator. This allows more blood to flow through our blood vessels, helping to maintain optimal performance.

TAURINE: This amino acid plays an important role in the immune system and helps protect cells. It contributes to the body’s overall antioxidant capacity and is important for energy metabolism. On top of all this, it improves athletic performance by acting on the central nervous system and on muscle response.

All of these features make it an ideal supplement to take before and after a workout to support muscle recovery and reduce the fatigue that training generates.

It is gluten and lactose free and suitable for vegans.
